About Research Sathi

A mission-driven research support organization founded in the heart of Lalitpur, Nepal.

Who We Are

Nepal's Dedicated Research Support Partner

Research Sathi was founded to fill a critical gap — the lack of accessible, affordable, and ethical research support for students and professionals in Nepal and the broader LMIC region.

Based in Lalitpur, we work with graduate students, academic researchers, and public health professionals across Nepal and South Asia. Our team brings together expertise in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and data science to deliver research support that meets international quality standards.

We are not just a service provider — we are partners in your research journey, invested in your success and in the growth of Nepal's academic and scientific community.

Our Mission

To empower researchers in Nepal and LMICs with ethical, evidence-based research support — making high-quality academic guidance accessible to every researcher, regardless of their institution or funding level.

Our Vision

A Nepal where every researcher has access to expert guidance and can contribute meaningfully to global knowledge — where Nepali research shapes international health policy and scientific discourse.

Our Story

Why We Started

Nepal produces thousands of graduate students every year — MPH, MSc, MPhil, and PhD scholars — yet most of them navigate their research journey alone. Supervisors are overstretched, dedicated research support services barely exist, and international consultancies charge fees that are simply out of reach for Nepali students.

Research Sathi was born out of this reality. Our founder, Dr. Rajan Sharma, experienced this gap firsthand as a PhD student and later as a supervisor at Tribhuvan University. He saw brilliant students fail not because of lack of intelligence, but because of lack of support — no one to help them choose the right statistical test, write a compelling proposal, or navigate the peer review process.

Today, our team brings 20+ years of combined expertise, has supported 5+ research projects, delivered 10+ personalized consultations, and contributed to 3+ publications — and we are genuinely passionate about research capacity building in Nepal. Every client we serve is a step toward the Nepal we envision — one where local research drives global knowledge.
